Shadow Lady by Masakazu Katsura Shadow Lady is the story of an extremely shy girl who becomes a sexy cat burglar at night. She has lots of really cute outfits for different purposes. She has fallen in love with a cop who pursues her relentlessly, yet he only loves her burglar persona. (hmm.. sounds like superman? Katsura seems to prefer Batman though.. ^_^) I haven't gotten very far into this series, but I enjoy it.
One thing I have noticed is that a lot of people thought that Shadow Lady is pretty dumb (and so I'd assume they would hate his other works) But having spent some time in Japan, and read LOTS of manga, I have come across the Cute phenomenon. Cute is very big. Cute women are desirable. So that is why he uses such cute girls in his stories. He also likes them to have energy, and i think they are quite admirable. I suppose if you can't really stomach cute, and want serious female roles, then this may not be for you. Give it a try for a few volumes, you may enjoy it as much as I do~! |
